Hello!
How was your Saturday? I had a more relaxed day but I stayed busy!
Today I want to talk about Five coats styles from the 1940's that shape the coats we see today.
1. Wool Trench Coat- First style of coat heavy enough to protect from the rain.
2. Swagger Coat- A longer version of the box coat. aps style. The Swagger coat is longer to cover clothing.
3.Polo Box Coat- Polo Box coats are lightweight and do not have a clouser. They are nice coats to layer under the long coats, or wear on a cool night.
4.Wrap Coat- A lightweight coat made with smaller pockets, and a tie to wrap around instead of buttons or a zipper closure.
5. Rain Coat- After pinning wool to coats, making wool coats, or adding oils to coats; coat designers came out with the rubber in the 1940's for raincoats. They didn't last as long as they do now, but they were a work in progress that has changed into amazing coats to protect you from the rain and last long now.
Thank you for all the support and for reading my blogmas.
If you have any question just let me know!
Have a great night.
